Fast-growing Integra Buildings welcomes six new apprentices

Six new apprentices are taking their first steps on an exciting career journey with Integra Buildings. The fast-growing business has teamed up with East Riding College to provide expert training at its headquarters in Paull, east of Hull.

Integra, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of bespoke modular buildings, is expanding the programme following the successful graduation of two apprentices earlier this year. Callum Burden and Joe Moore secured full-time positions after completing their joinery training.

Now, Knud Nielson and Johnathan Steward will have the opportunity to follow in their footsteps as they begin joinery apprenticeships, alongside Tyler Turner, Fane Connor and Freddie Keel Price (welding), and Harry Catchpole (SHEQ – safety, health, environment, quality). The appointments form part of Integra’s ambitious growth plans, which include a major expansion of its East Yorkshire base and the creation of 20 new jobs.

The company has long been committed to offering opportunities to young people, recognising talent and promoting from within. Managing Director Gary Parker began his career as an apprentice, while Chris Turner worked his way up to become Commercial Director after joining as an apprentice almost 20 years ago.

Mr Parker said: “Apprenticeships have always played an important part in our growth plans. Some of those we took on when we started the company in the 1990s are still with us now. We’re delighted to continue our strong partnership with East Riding College and we’re confident that all six of our new apprentices have a bright future ahead of them.”

East Riding College said: “East Riding College is proud to be a partner of Integra and have supported them over a number of years to develop their workforce – providing 14 apprentices in joinery, welding, design and most recently health and safety. We are delighted with their continued growth and wish them well. We look forward to working with them in the future.”
